The Garden Loft Falmouth – stylish holiday cottage in Cornwall a short walk to beautiful beaches

5 guests
3 bedrooms
3 beds
1 bath

Welcoming Falmouth holiday cottage for 5 guests, with gorgeous sunny terrace, garden and private parking, just a few minutes’ walk from beaches and town.

The cottage is sociable and open plan, with airy and light-filled rooms. On the ground floor the kitchen/diner opens into the sitting room, where you’ll find a log burner for cooler evenings, and smart TV for terrestrial and streaming channels. The two double bedrooms are also on the ground floor (one a king sized four poster), with the third single bedroom accessed from the steep spiral staircase on a mezzanine floor – this has a built in desk space where you can make use of the superfast broadband – or just curl up with a book on the cabin-style bed and watch the boats in the distance.

Outside the cottage there’s a private and very sunny terrace with views out to Falmouth Bay. It’s a great place for your morning coffee or evening sundowner. There’s also an additional small garden area with lush Cornish planting, where you can relax, light the fire pit, or just snooze in the hammock under an ancient magnolia tree.

The garden is fully enclosed, and we’re a dog friendly cottage too, so it’s safe for your canine companions if they’re travelling with you. If you're bringing bikes or surf boards for your holiday in Cornwall there's plenty of space to store them in the garden, and also private parking for one or two cars, which is a real bonus for a holiday cottage in Falmouth.

As for location, once you’ve arrived, you’re just a short walk from everything - all three Falmouth beaches, including blue flag winner Gyllngvase – and you can also walk down into town in a few minutes to find independent boutiques, great coffee shops, cool bars and restaurants. Event Square and the historic harbour area are also just a few minutes away.

Neighborhood overview
Head to one (or all) of Falmouth’s three fabulous beaches – it’s a five to ten minute walk to blue flag winner Gyllyngvase, or Swanpool in the other direction.

Walk to the Old High Street for fantastic artisan bakeries and indie design and vintage shops. The house is also just a few minutes’ walk from Event Square for boat-watching and year-round festivals, and the National Maritime Museum.

At night, there's Beerwolf for great beers, wines & table tennis, or try Dolly's Tea Room and Wine Bar for gin and teapot cocktails. Falmouth also has two cinemas – five screens at the Phoenix and arts house movies at The Poly in Church Street.

Options for eating out locally include Provodore for tapas (their breakfasts & coffee are great too, and they're just steps away from the house). Further into town you'll find The Wheelhouse and Oliver’s for seafood & fine dining. If you’d rather order in, Brothers will deliver great sourdough pizzas to you by bike.
Getting around
The house has private parking for one or two cars, depending on size, which is a major bonus in Falmouth! We're a 5 minute walk from the town station, so you really can be totally car-free here.

On foot, you'll reach the coastal path in 10 minutes, and there are some fantastic circular walks to try from the house.

The University Town Campus is just a block or so away, if you're in town visiting students or here for an open day.

Further out, you'll find surfing beaches on The Lizard, and a network of passenger ferries from the town pier 10 minutes walk away will take you across to the Roseland Peninsula or the Helford Passage.
